Nigerian fashion designer and the CEO of Tiannah Place Empire, Toyin Lawani, is known for her sophisticated designs. Often, she trends for making uncommon designs which gets mouths talking. During the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) that was held on May 9, 2026, in Lagos, she rocked an aquarium-themed dress.
Not satisfied with the outfits she has made with food in the past, the King of Fashion, as she describes herself, made a dress with 500 loaves of bread for former Big Brother Naija housemate, Queen Mercy Atang.
The gold ball gown was a cynosure of eyes as it caught the attention of attendees at the event and online viewers. Tiannah and Queen broke the Internet with the outfit, spurring the international media to spotlight the event and the daring outfit.
Toyin is still basking in the euphoria of her masterpieces at the AMVCA and she has gained more followers on her Instagram page. For those who are new to her page and her works, she decided to share a compilation video of her previous designs made with food.
She has made her dresses with fishes, eggs, peppers, okra, meat, and other edibles. The daring fashion designer described her work as edible art.
It will not be the first time that she will be trending for her designs. During the last AMVCA, she made a dress with one million gold pins for Ms. Atang, which caused a stir at the event and got many netizens fascinated.
After Tiannah shared the video of the dresses she has made with different foods, some celebrities and her fans hailed her. They acknowledged her hardwork and noted that she has no limitations to the kind of dresses she makes.
