There is an ongoing viral trend of rocking an AI-generated outfit, which was spurred by a drama between content creator Caramel Plugg and Nollywood actress Anita Joseph.
Caramel Plugg had accused the movie star of cropping out her head from her photo and editing hers (Anita) on it. While she made several comments on Anita’s IG page, she alleged that the screen star deleted her comments.
Joseph later noted that it was one AI user who generated the photo for her; she liked it and shared it on her page. Although she apologized to Caramel Plugg, the content creator did not accept her apology.
She also claimed that she does not know the movie star. After several analysis, netizens opined that the photo can be generated from any AI app and they created several versions for themselves.
Actress Iyabo Ojo was not left out of the AI-generated outfit trend. She posted some of the AI-generated pictures with her face on it, stating that it was her fan page that posted it.
Several netizens could not contain their laughter as they hailed Queen Mother, as she is fondly called, for joining the trend, and consequently, standing by Anita Joseph.
This drama, which some people thought would die down within a day or two has become one of Nigeria’s top AI-generated trend. Others who have not yet generated the exact photo are taking advantage of the trend before netizens move to the next one.
