Global music star David Adeleke, aka Davido, remembered the kidnapped pupils and teachers at Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State, during his opening performance for the 2026 World Cup.
The “Feel” crooner wore a black leather jacket that contained the names of the abducted pupils and teachers. On the back of his shirt, he wrote, “Bring Them Home.”
About three weeks ago, some bandits stormed the schools in the community and abducted their victims. Although the news has gained national attention, the victims are still yet to regain their freedom.
Many people were pleased that OBO, as Davido is fondly called, lent his voice to the trending issue. They also called on other celebrities to speak up on the level of insecurity bedeviling the nation.
