The quest to tell stories through fabric, needle, and thread spurred designers, models, and fashion enthusiasts to gather for “Woven Threads VII: Crafted.”
From April 9th – 12th, 2026, participants were thrilled by the display of innovative styles, thoughtful combinations, and intentional expressions.

The event, which was held at 274A Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos, was beyond the silhouettes, piercing poses, and carriage that redefines the art of creative designs.
“Woven Threads VII: Crafted” is a joint initiative of Lagos Fashion Week and Styles House Files. It featured several creative designers who pulled wool, diverse materials, and patterns to deliver on the runway.

The fashion show was beyond the zeal to see new designs, there was an intention to celebrate art and craft in African and contemporary details.
Attendees saw how fashion transforms from expressing art to telling impactful stories. The stitches and blend were not only a demonstration of creativity, they were a reflection of innovation, teamwork, consistency, and hardwork. More so, the event was poised to maintain heritage and identity.

Designers make daunting statements with their craft
The event was facilitated by Verde by Cadwell and curated by Sunny Dolat. According to the Lagos Fashion Week, this edition of Woven Threads centred craft as method, process, and system. It focused on how materials are understood and how production is sustained within a circular framework.
“Crafted” expanded into a programme of talks, workshops, and live demonstrations, including sessions on upcycling and reconstruction, conversations with the curator, and panel discussions on circularity, material futures, and responsible production.

Some of the designers who exhibited their works and were applauded on Instagram are @kokrobitey.institute, @ajanee_studio, @eki_kere, @hertunba, @prettretaylor, and @nya_lagos.
